The Personal Side

My name is Dylan Harty, and I’m running for Mayor of Airdrie because I believe our community deserves leadership that is accountable, approachable, and focused on results.

My Experience:

With over 15 years of experience in the software industry, I have led teams both locally and internationally, driving innovation, collaboration, and growth across organizations serving more than 10 million users worldwide. My leadership journey includes senior roles within companies of over 5,000 employees, where I built high performing teams, managed complex projects, and delivered meaningful results through strategic vision and a care for the little details.

Beyond the corporate world, my heart has always been in service. I have dedicated time to volunteering with organizations such as shelters, Stephen’s Backpacks, and the Calgary Fire Department, as well as mentoring entrepreneurs through StartUp Calgary. Through these initiatives, I have helped empower individuals, support families, and nurture the spirit of entrepreneurship that drives our province forward. Rooted deeply in Alberta’s traditions, I was raised with the values of hard work, community, and integrity that come from farm life. I understand the challenges and strengths of our local communities because I have lived them.

Now, I want to bring this blend of business leadership, technical expertise, and grassroots service to our town to help shape a future that honours our heritage while embracing innovation and opportunity for everyone.

My Background:

I grew up rurally where I learned the importance of hard work, responsibility, and looking out for your neighbours. Those same values guide me today as I work to ensure Airdrie remains a safe, thriving place for families, businesses, and future generations.

I’m here to listen, to lead, and to act. From managing growth responsibly to supporting local businesses and keeping our community safe, my commitment is to make decisions that reflect the needs of the people who actually live here.

Airdrie is more than where I live, it’s my community, and I’m committed to serving it with integrity and dedication. But I can’t do it alone. Join me in this campaign, whether it’s attending an event, volunteering, or simply sharing your ideas. Together, we can build a stronger Airdrie.
