Not a career politician, Transparent & Accountable

Being elected is for the people and I represent the people not a council of self interest. It means working together and moving our city forward.

Growth

Not Cleaning Up After.

Keep Airdrie Affordable

Life in Airdrie should remain within reach for every family, senior, and young person who wants to call it home. I will work to keep taxes fair, ensure every dollar is spent responsibly, and push for housing options that match the needs of our growing city. That means researching and adopting new, proven approaches to affordable housing, from partnerships with developers and non-profits, to innovative building models and smarter zoning that reduces costs without cutting quality. By exploring what has worked in other cities and adapting it to Airdrie’s unique needs, I will make sure we find real, lasting solutions. Families deserve stability, opportunity, and the ability to thrive right here in Airdrie without being priced out of their community. I hear you Airdrie! I think it’s time we take a closer look at property taxes.

Waste Reform

Airdrie has grown beyond the days when leaving garbage on the street was manageable. It is time support modernization our waste system and champion black bins that keep our neighbourhoods clean. I also want to explore amendments to the new black bin program that will reward households for producing less waste offering credits or benefits to families who actively help keep our city cleaner and greener.

School Capacity and Permits

Reduce reliance on outdated portables, and push for permanent schools where families need them using proactive data and working with MLAs. At the same time, working to streamline and fast track permits for current portables as an immediate solution. This is about putting families ahead of bureaucracy and making sure growth works for Airdrie, not against it.

Airdire currently has three schools funded for construction and a fourth under planning. By the time these schools will be done we will be in the same spot, we need to be more proactive in our government to get funding from the province when we need it.

Lean Government

Airdrie has been well served by the work of past city leaders, and I believe the previous administration did many things right. But just like living in a house for a long time, clutter naturally starts to collect. Over the years, overlapping programs, outdated processes, and small inefficiencies can pile up without change.

That’s why I want to take a fresh look at our city’s major contracts and expenditures from the past five years. Not because I think things were done badly, but because it’s healthy to tidy up now and then. By clearing away the clutter, streamlining spending, and shining a light on where we can be more efficient, we can make sure every tax dollar goes to what matters most: better services, stronger infrastructure, and a more transparent city government.

Senior Living Choice

Airdrie’s seniors deserve more than a few options for where they can live. Right now, too many are limited in their choices when it comes to finding safe, supportive housing in the community they helped build. I will work to expand senior living options by encouraging new facilities that reflect the diverse needs of our growing senior population. This includes exploring successful approaches from other communities, collaborating with partners, and advancing practical solutions so that seniors have real choices for living with dignity, security, and comfort right here in Airdrie.

Data Driven Growth

I will ensure Airdrie uses data on population growth, infrastructure strain, and service usage not only to respond to issues but to anticipate them in advance. This means planning for schools, roads, water, and utilities before new subdivisions fill up, so families and businesses have what they need the moment they arrive.

TL;DR: Keep Airdrie affordable with proven approaches. Cleaner streets with trash bins. Smarter school planning with fast solutions for overcrowding. Transparent audits to protect your tax dollars. Expand senior living options. Data driven growth approach to build schools, roads, and utilities before problems appear. Airdrie deserves proactive leadership that plans ahead and puts families first.
Stability

Building a City Where Families Strengthen.

Sports and Family

Families in Airdrie deserve affordable access to recreation and wellness. I will fight to expand sports and family rebates so more kids can join teams, more parents can afford programs, and more seniors can stay active. Investing in these rebates means healthier families, stronger communities, and opportunities for every resident to participate. A growing city should never let cost be the barrier to staying healthy, connected, and engaged.

The SW Recreation Centre

Airdrie families deserve a recreation centre that truly meets their needs, not a watered-down version with key omissions. Residents have raised valid concerns about the lack of a 50-metre pool, no indoor turf, affordability issues, and a timeline that stretches far too long. I want to do this right. That means re-evaluating the plan, ensuring a proper pool, indoor turf, hockey rinks, and family amenities are included. I will hold public forums to make sure residents have a real voice in shaping this project. Together we can deliver a centre that is affordable, built within a reasonable timeline, and worthy of Airdrie’s growing community.

Furthermore, Airdrie is in dire need of more rinks and pools. I plan for heavy focus on fixing this.

Health Centre Updates

Airdrie has grown to over 85,000+ residents, yet we still rely on the same urgent care centre that was built for a much smaller city. Families wait too long for care, and staff face daily strain trying to meet demand. I will fight and advocate for expanded health services, push for more doctors and nurses, and demand investment in new facilities that match our growth. A growing city deserves a healthcare system that grows with it.

The Alberta government has planned $8.4 million into renovating Airdrie’s urgent care, expanding treatment rooms by 37.5%, adding trauma and negative-air pressure rooms, new EMS drive-in access, and boosting our capacity.

But here’s the catch: there was no new operating funding attached, meaning we’ve built the shell but not the staff or systems to make it fully work. We need real, sustainable investment, not band-aid fixes, so Airdrie can get a fully functional health centre that meets our growing city’s needs.

Keeping our kids healthy is just as important. Children deserve timely access to pediatric care, mental health support, and preventative services so they can grow, learn, and thrive. By investing in health infrastructure today, we ensure families and kids receive the care they need, when they need it, right here in Airdrie.

Safe Communities

Every family in Airdrie deserves to live in a neighborhood where safety comes first. I will ensure new developments are designed without blind corners and unsafe layouts, so kids can walk, bike, and play with confidence. I will enforce proper parking rules to keep sightlines clear and streets accessible, reducing risks for drivers and pedestrians alike. By holding developers accountable and prioritizing safety from the start, we can build communities where parents feel secure and children grow up protected.

TL;DR: Affordable sports and family programs so every resident can stay active. Reevaluate the SW Recreation Centre. Expanded health services to match a city of 85,000+ and keep kids healthy with the care they need. Safer communities with smarter development, clear sightlines, and fair parking enforcement so families feel secure. A growing Airdrie deserves support, care, and safety at every step.
Opportunity

Thriving Businesses, Thriving Airdrie.

Entertainment District

Airdrie is ready for a spaces that brings families, youth, and visitors together while driving jobs and economic growth. I will champion the creation of a new Entertainment District spaces that features local restaurants, arts, sports, music, and family friendly spaces. These districts will give youth a safe and engaging place to spend their time, keep families entertained close to home, and attract new opportunities for local businesses. By investing in culture and entertainment, we create jobs, support entrepreneurs, and build a vibrant hub that makes Airdrie not only a place to live, but a place to experience and enjoy.

Local Business Focus

I believe local businesses are the heart of Airdrie. They give our city character, create jobs, and provide services that families, and our citizens truly value. That is why I will introduce incentives and re-zoning for quality businesses that strengthen our community.

I want to encourage a diverse mix of complementary businesses that bring vibrancy, meet genuine community needs, and make Airdrie a city residents are proud to support. While there’s nothing wrong with big names like Tim Hortons or Starbucks, I believe we’d all like to see more variety than just coffee shops and liquor stores. The goal isn’t to replace them, but to build around them, strengthening entertainment districts and creating engaging spaces.

This is not just economic growth, it is the foundation for thriving local businesses that create jobs, strengthen families, and build Airdrie’s future.

Entrepreneur Support

Airdrie is full of innovators, dreamers, and hard-working entrepreneurs who want to build something for themselves and their community. I will fight to make Airdrie the best place in Alberta to start and grow a business by offering targeted supports such as permit fee rebates, mentorship programs, and fast-track approvals for entrepreneurs. By cutting red tape and encouraging fresh ideas, we can create a city where local businesses thrive, jobs grow, and families benefit from a stronger, more diverse economy. Supporting entrepreneurs is not just about business, it is about building opportunity and pride in Airdrie’s future.

TL;DR: It is time for Airdrie to grow up and plan our own Entertainment district. Thriving local businesses mean a thriving Airdrie. I will fight to provide tax benefits, permit fee rebates, mentorship programs, and fast-track approvals. By cutting red tape and encouraging diverse services beyond chains, we will create jobs, grow opportunity, and build a community residents are proud to support.
